About Us
Positive Impact for Life is a nonprofit organization that delivers two pillars of service, free of charge, because we believe in the power of healing and providing every child with support during their educational journey. Through our youth development programming, we reach at-risk students with afterschool tutoring. Through our community wellness services, we connect individuals with licensed therapists and self-care workshops.

To transform lives by providing positive solutions for everyday living.
Our Purpose
- To equip individuals and families who are willing to change with opportunities for a better life. We provide participants with information and licensed professionals to make wise choices and offer suggestions. Local agencies, businesses, and organizations are also referred to.
- To empower individuals and families to believe in their abilities to achieve their goals. To go after their dreams by making wise choices and to make use of local resources in their communities. Positive Impact for Life solicits, collaborates, supports local volunteers from all areas and backgrounds of life, aid and assist those who need such services and trainings.
- To educate individuals and families on the social, educational, economical and psychological level by making them aware of innovative approaches to dealing with various life situations. Barbara Coloroso once said, “The beauty of empowering others is that your own power is not diminished in the process.”
About Malique
Positive Impact for Life Founder/CEO
My professional passions are layered. I’m a transformational leader, an inspirational vocalist, and a motivational orator. My Positive Impact for Life journey is fueled by my passions for creating and implementing innovative youth development programs, building community partnerships, and facilitating individual wellness opportunities for the benefit of all.
Positive Impact for Life has been in operation for three years, providing afterschool tutoring and mentoring along with in-person and virtual opportunities for positive mental health transformations. I work diligently to achieve our organizational mission and design programming in alignment with our operational values.
While in operation, Positive Impact for Life successfully served more than 2,000 community members of diverse backgrounds through many community events that empowered students and families to believe in their abilities to achieve their goals.
On a personal level, I reside in Grand Rapids, Michigan with my husband, Houston Grear, Jr. We have two children, Monica (Darrell) Hudson, Houston Grear III and two beautiful granddaughters, Aria Grear and Moriah Hudson.

Our self-care workshops are designed to encourage addressing mental health issues. We create a safe place to discuss self-care needs by bringing licensed clinicians to you, without the barrier of figuring out the system, because your mental health is just as important as your physical health.
